These are not the devils you are looking for.
Most people, especially those within the religions themselves and even many outside of them have no idea what Abrahamic means. It is a reference to what most call Christianity or Judeu Christianism. This umbrella term covers religions such as:
Kabalism (Also known as Jewish mysticism)
Rosocrutionism (More or Christian Witches)
Islam (Yes, believe it or not)
Lutheranism (Martin Luther, Not to be mistaken with the civil rights activist, Martin Luther King Jr., once nailed a list of grievances to the door of the Roman Catholic Church, accusing them of not living up to their own moral code and lutheranism was born)
Satanism (Yes, Satanism is still technically Abrahamic in mature despite being Adversarial)
And even atheism, because any time an atheist speaks on God, it is still the assumption that God is the only one and even the bible contradicts that idea.
Abrahamic referres to Abraham, a Biblical character that every Christian should know very well. The most well known story of Abraham was that God instructed him to take his son, Isaac to the top of a mountain and sacrifice him as an offering, but at the last second told him to stop and that it was only a test of Abraham’s faith. If you are a Christian then you probably know this story well. They also teach it in Judaism and possibly Islam, I know very little about Islam so i am not equipped to say.
But who is Abraham?
“But among these great Masters of Ancient Egypt there once dwelt one of whom Masters hailed as “The Master of Masters.” This man, if “man” indeed he was, dwelt in Egypt in the earliest days. He was known as Hermes Trismegistus. He was the father of the Occult Wisdom; the founder of Astrology; the discoverer of Alchemy. The details of his life story are lost to history, owing to the lapse of the years, though several of the ancient countries disputed with each other in their claims to the honor of having furnished his birthplace — and this thousands of years ago. The date of his sojourn in Egypt, in that his last incarnation on this planet, is not now known, but it has been fixed at the early days of the oldest dynasties of Egypt — long before the days of Moses. The best authorities regard him as a contemporary of Abraham, and some of the Jewish traditions go so far as to claim that Abraham acquired a portion of his mystic knowledge from Hermes himself.” – The Kybalion
Abraham, Not Jesus Christ, is the one responsible for what we now commonly refer to as religion in this day and age and it has roots that are even older than that. Going back tens of thousands of years. Before the book now known as the Bible was even an idea. Religions and spiritual things that predate what we now know… or think we know as a society. So then, who is “Hermes”?
And more over… why is he never mentioned in Church or Sunday school? Why do we never hear this man’s name in conversations about God. To know the answer to this is to know the true nature of the word ‘Occult’.
